sde rag'10/11

Have been popping down for rag the past week or so despite being "out of sde" now. Ha. It's really been an interesting time i guess. Wont say i enjoyed every moment of it, but somehow, there's always something almost magical about rag every year with the sde bunch.

We lost all awards, but somehow we've really more or less won the day. Despite the main float's truck breaking down, we stubbornly persisted in towing it into the field, onto the stage. Despite having to manually lug all the - incrediably massive - side props in, we did without so much of a grumble but an agreement. The sheer relief and joy in seeing our float, being towed in slowly and the dancer carrying out the performance is something no one can deny us of, winning or not.

We have won the moment and looking at the current batch of year1s, i dare say, most would return. It's a really strange thing, but heading back, i see more year3s than year2s, despite it being "their" year. And we were the batch during year1 who lost every award and then won it back the next. I wonder if it was losing that made us crave more and want to create a difference.

Still, everything is for next year, though i dont think anyone who was there would agree that we lost. Because with so much determination and grit shown in that kind of situation, we're all victors.

This year's may be over and done but destiny awaits.
